Where

Comprised of two expansive and beautifully restored villas formerly owned yet abandoned by Pablo Escobar, Casa Magna sits magnificently between the turquoise water, green tropical forests and jungles.  Rich in history, our surroundings invite us to tour ancient Mayan ruins, swim along the world’s second longest reef or relax in a hammock swinging in the soft breeze.

The irony is not lost on visitors of the history of the villas and today’s purpose, all of which was envisioned by owner Melissa Perlman as she dedicated herself to renovating these homes with love and purity,  which has resulted in a warm, inviting and tantalizing environment for the purpose of bringing peace and higher consciousness to guests.  To cleanse and clear the energy, upon completion, Tibetan monk Palden Gyatso visited to bless the Villas.

Each room at Casa Magna, whether in the larger Main Villa or the Intimate Guest House Villa, is unique, airy, spacious and beautifully styled with Amansala’s “bohemian chic” feel. Relaxed luxury includes soft furnishings, candles, fresh flowers and purified water.

Rustic luxury and eco resort mean ocean breezes instead of air conditioning, soft glow of candles instead of neon lights, electricity from dusk till midnight and delicious, fresh simply prepared food. During the winter months, the cooler night airs encourage restful sleep and the deeply shaded vast porches and beach areas provide  plenty of space for conversation, private reflection and relaxation.

The bright and spacious Yoga rooms are set up beautifully for classes with ocean views and hardwood floors.  The expansive and private beach will give us plenty of room and privacy for our outdoor fitness sessions.  We plan on utilizing every aspect of our natural environment to enrich and magnify our experience.
